Wordless Wednesday

Update on Jacob: His ear is much better! When he got up yesterday morning it had gone down a tiny bit though was still badly swollen and red. I gave him another dose of Benadryl and decided to see what would happen for a bit before I called the doctor. As the day went on it progressively got better. It isn't back to normal yet but is much much better than it was 48 hours ago. I think he got bit by something and it obviously didn't set well with his body. I never gave him the steroids that the doctor prescribed us and don't plan to either. I did waste the money to get them filled late Monday night when I took him to the doctor though :( No clue when I'll ever use those - the only other time we've ever used steroids in this house is when they've had SJS so I pray we don't need them for that. I'd rather them just sit in the cabinet and waste the money!!!! Thanks to everyone for checking on him and for all the advice - I have the best blogging friends EVER!

Now for my not so Wordless Wednesday: Some kids never grow up :)

On a serious note I need to ask for something :  Most of you know that my husband does HVAC work. He's constantly on roofs of big buildings or in the attics of houses. In SC it has been in the 90s for the last week with the last four days hitting 95 each day. When it's 95 degrees outside then it's 200 in the attic where he's at. On top of this he was on call last week and last weekend by himself therefore working endless hours. Yesterday he got so exhausted and overwhelmed he stopped sweating 3 times. I am very concerned about him. He came home yesterday early at 5:00 because he was about to drop! If he comes home early and says he needs to stop then you know something is seriously wrong. The heat isn't looking like it's going to get much better over the next 7 days or so : still in the low nineties each day. If you have time please say a prayer for him. He won't stop regardless - he says they are short techs and he can't be out. I tell him he can't kill himself either at the same time. I'm just praying for his safety - that he will realize when his body has had enough before it's too late for him to do something about it and that the people he works for will realize what a disservice they are doing to their techs. Maybe I should just pray he will realize because I know his employer isn't going to change!

Prayers Needed

I've been following along on Lindsays journey for a while now. Such an absolute cutie pie!!!! Lindsays parents are so incredibly dedicated to being there for Lindsay that someone is almost constantly there with her and they amaze me with their strength and faith in the Lord. Lindsay has been in the hospital since November waiting on a heart transplant. She was born with HLHS and has endured 5 open heart surgeries so far..more than any innocent child should ever have to go through. Lindsay was supposed to have a birthday party this weekend at the hospital since she is fast approaching the big one year mark and when I logged in tonight there it was. Her heart came!!!!!!!! Alleluia! Please keep Lindsay,her mom Suze,dad JR and her brothers Cole and Cruz in your prayers tonight. Please pray for a successful surgery and a quick recovery. I am absolutely speechless right now but I just had to share with you as I'm sure she can use all the prayers she can get. Pray For Me

In 3 very short hours every single one of these kids will be at my house for the baseball sleepover. Now why they call these things sleepovers I'm not sure because I'm sure there won't be a lot of sleep but here we go. If I don't make it back and you never hear from me again then you know what happened. :)

So Behind

I'm so behind. I have days worth of blogs to catch up on and lots of posting that I haven't done. I've been trying to get some scanning done over the past few days and have worked at nothing else on the computer other than that. I hope to catch up sometime today. I actually sat down this morning to do my I HEART Faces post for this week and saw a post from Aimee and Adam over at Kayleigh's Story..as soon as I saw the title..."Goodbye Sweetheart...For Now" I knew that I couldn't post a picture about laughter right now. How in the world do we become so attached to someone that we have never met...how am I sitting here crying over someone that I've only followed through a blog? I became so attached to Kayleigh and truly truly love that little girl. When I sat down this morning and read that she passed away peacefully last night the tears just started flowing. My heart is breaking right now and I just can't find it in me to post anything else quite yet...I'll try and get another post up sometime today but in the meantime please head over to Kayleigh's blog and leave her family a sweet comment to let them know you're thinking of them during this time. I can not imagine the pain that they are experiencing right now...I can tell you that I will hold my kids alittle tighter today!

Don't Understand!

Updated: I just read MckMama's twitter and they are going in to try and get some sort of permanent iv access on Stellan...she doesn't know if it'll be a central/j/picc line but keep him in your prayers!!!!!!





I'm having a hard time thinking about posting a regular blog post this morning with all that's going on. My mind is on other things. Stellan is still in the hospital and as of last night he'd been in SVT for the last 26 hours. I also heard this morning that Veiyah is back in the hospital also. I posted about her a while back on my blog when she was in for heart surgery and became very critical. They put her back in yesterday for severe dehydration. I suppose I'm having a difficult time thinking and writing about my kids right now when there are babies out there that are suffering...I don't get it. I've had major issues with my faith for the last 5 years or so and it is times like these that it is hardest on me. I don't understand why a loving God would do this to tiny innocent children. Why not to the convicts that have murdered heinously in prison or to the sexual predators out there that had hurt innocent little boys and girls...why innocent babies that can't fight on their own and have done nothing wrong in their entire lives. I don't get it. Anyhow...I really wasn't intending to go that in depth but for now I just ask that everyone pray for Stellan and Veiyah. I've put both their links on here for those of you that don't know them.

I know that it's all over the place now but I haven't had a chance to post until tonight. I read MckMama's blog this morning and heard about Stellan and immediately started praying for him but I just haven't been able to sit down and blog until about five minutes ago. Stellan is back in the hospital with SVT and they can't get his heartrate down right now. He really needs all the prayers he can get right now!!!!! You can read all about his story on MckMama's blog. I know all of you are living busy lives and have tons to do today but please take a few minutes and pray for Veiyah. I've posted about her a couple of times before but she's been taken back to the OR and is very critical. Please pray for her today!

Delayed for a Better Cause

I suppose you could say I am delaying my regularly scheduled blog post this morning for a better cause. I posted last night asking for prayers for Veiyah and her family. She is still in VERY critical condition and still needs all the prayer warriors she can get! So instead of putting pics up of my babies today or telling you some wild story of our insane life I'm going to focus on her today. I haven't been able to get her off my mind since yesterday. My heart just breaks for this family and I just pray that she will gain the strength she needs to get back home where she belongs. Please visit her blog and leave her family a message to let them know that you are thinking about them. Grab their button and put it on your blog or whatever you feel inclined to do. I will admit my faith has been incredibly challenged in the last few years and I've struggled each and every day with it but I'll be the first to say that if prayer works then I'm all for it right now! Anything to get this precious little girl back home with her mom and dad!

Her name is Veiyah and she was born a twin at 30 weeks. Her twin didn't make it and Veiyah has been fighting ever since. She had to go in for open heart surgery today and has had some setbacks. She is in desperate need for prayers right now. If you would like please check out her familys blog and leave them a message tonight. I know that it would mean the world to them.

It'll only take a minute to help save this babys life!

I was reading a blog this morning and came across something that moved me to tears. I felt like I had to share and try to do my part to spread the word. This is about a little girl named Gwendolyn and her mothers quest to save her life. I am in awe of her strength and really you can't find a cuter little girl out there than Gwendolyn! So please watch the video and then sign the petition...it only takes a couple of minutes to get both of them done and then you've done your part in saving thousands and thousands of lives.

Mia update

Mia is out of surgery and doing well. The doctors say she got a "GREAT" heart. This next week will be critical for her but they are very optimistic. She is such a fighter. Please go and leave your prayers for her family...they are an amazing group of people! Thank all of you for your prayers today!

Up and Happenings

Jacob's birthday was yesterday. As soon as I have time to go through 200+ pictures I will post them...(sometime this weekend). Lots of things happened yesterday so I will try to post them all this weekend. We have Lucas' birthday next Saturday coming up and my moms is today so lots to do for all that.

I have a prayer request if you don't mind. Hubby lost his job yesterday and will begin looking for a new one on Monday. I worry about him finding a job right now in the economy. I don't worry about his ability technically in what he does however: 1-things in his field of heating and ac are very slow right now so it might be difficult to find someone hiring 2-I just don't think people are hunting for employees right now to hand money out to given the crisis our economy is in. Please pray that he will find something quickly and there won't be too many roadblocks along the way.
