Climbing Everywhere

Seems like overnight Allie is into everything! I can't keep up with her most of the time...she's obsessed with climbing up on the kitchen table. She'll pull the chairs out and climb up in them then directly onto the table. I move the primary one she uses to climb up but then she'll only use another.

Same with my desk. I try and put the chair back so she can't get in it but there are times I forget of course and she's right there at my computer. Not to mention she's extremely proud of herself!

This girl is a handful...after three boys I thought I'd seen it all but she's an entirely new challenge. She definitely makes life interesting.

9:30 Fourth dose of ointment and drops.
EXHAUSTED!

Seeing this face though makes it all worthwhile. Bless her heart she has felt like crap for well over a week now. We have gone through almost 3 boxes of tissues and she is raw! I wish I could take it away from her. Seems to be beginning to feel alittle better but that nose isn't slowing down.

Just a clip of my day....Geez! I think tomorrow I'm going to sit on my caboose and not move...if only that were feasible.

Anybody having issues with their dashboard? When I log in it doesn't list all of the blogs that have been updated only about 10 or 15 and then the list ends. Also after I view one blog no matter how far down the list I am it goes right back up to the very first one again. Is it just me or is this a blogger issue out there?

Way behind

I'm behind...I'm so far behind and have no idea when I will catch up. The two babies have been sick and it's been never ending. On top of that we now have a sick dog...I had to take him to the vet today and he has a scratched cornea. So I'm medicating almost around the clock and the doctor bills are piling up. I'm going to try to sit and catch up soon...I'm not lost just incredibly busy!

I just can't believe everyone isn't rushing over to Kelly's blog to join in so we can all see each others recipes yet.....so read mine and then head over and link up so I can see what kind of yummy goodness you have on your blog too.

Today's recipe can't get any easier....but it is sooo yummy!

1 pound of sausage(I like to use hot)
1 pound of sharp cheddar cheese

Get your hands dirty and work it all together. Then after it is well combined make into small balls put on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

I could eat almost all of these on my own :)

Blah Blah Blah

Kids are sick..I'm tired! I don't have the energy to load pictures or figure something out to post about. I'm tired of wiping noses, cleaning up throw up,washing everything in sight. I have tons to do and can't seem to find the energy to get to any of it. It's just that kind of week....ugh! I'm ready for the weekend so I can find a break yet David's on call so there's no telling what our weekend will hold. I'm just ready for babies that feel good again..it sucks when they're sick and can't do anything. I feel horrible for them and their sad faces and red eyes...makes me wanna take it all away times 10.

I HEART Faces-Candid

I HEART Faces is a photography blog that holds weekly contests for everyone out there that loves to take pictures. This weeks category is candid...I have tons of these because half the time I just grab my camera and click away.

This is a recent picture I captured of Allie at dessert time..one of her favorite times of the day. Looking at this picture brings to mind how much she loves eating dessert and she always wants a little (or a lot) of what everyone else has. I also love looking at David's face in this picture..we've found that when you feed a baby your mouth always does like movements...so funny!!!!!

Greatest Love of All

Here are some more pictures from my parents house last weekend. These are some of my absolute favorites of Allie and her Daddy. There are days that I just sit and watch the two of them interact. It floors me and leaves me speechless. I thought I could not love my husband more than when I saw him with our boys...that was until the moment I saw him hold Allie in his arms for the very first time. I fell in love with him all over again. What a blessing to be able to witness the amazing relationship they have on a daily basis.

Better than Never

I have been so out of it this week. I have kept up with most blogs other than my own of course. I'm way behind and can't seem to catch up on anything right now. Allie's back to her 30 minute naps during the day and that doesn't leave me much free time. By the time I get down reading blogs at night I'm too tired to go through and actually post on my own. I had a migraine on Tuesday and that put me out for about 2 days. I still feel like I'm trying to catch up.

David constantly asks Caleb how much he loves him and he puts his arms out as far as he can reach while saying "this much". Love the bond they have...it's so visible how much Caleb adores his Daddy!

Last weekend we went to my dad's for dinner as we do most weeks and the two older boys were spending the night. They stopped by the store after dinner and when we got back to the house I realized that I had left my keys at home so we waited for them in the yard...of course it was a great chance to pull my camera out and click away. Here's a few that I had to share...more coming this weekend of course :)

Phone Happy

There is nothing that Allie loves more than a phone. She absolutely loves to play with them....when she plays with her daddy's he can lock his so it's not a problem. During the day however mine is the only choice she has and she knows how to unlock it which means many unplanned phone calls. She's called many people many times...funny how numbers you think would never even be a number actually get you to someone. This girl has started wanting to chat already...I'm scared what she'll be like at 14 if she's already occupying the phone at 1.

This is the first post I've done using the new editor. Heather told me about it and I have to admit I'm a bit confused by it! She is amazed by it and I do like the way it uploads better but I guess I just need to get alittle more accustomed to it...maybe they'll make a tutorial for it for dummies like me :)

Food Fixing Friday

I'm joining Kelly at Two kids a minivan and a lot of love once again for Food Fixing Friday. I'm shocked that more people haven't gone to her blog and joined in because I absolutely love to discover new recipes so I know I can't be the only one. So sit down and share your favorite recipe(after you read mine of course)and then head over and link up so we can all come see and try it out for ourselves. This week is cookie recipes. I am a huge dessert fanatic so this is extra exciting for me!!! I can think of tons and tons of cookie recipes to share but I'm going to share one I discovered over the holidays last year and it has quickly become a favorite. This is a Paula Deen recipe and I believe I saw it on one of her shows...it is a relative of the gooey butter cakes :) yum yum yum!

This is Chocolate Gooey Butter Cookies-I will warn you they are addicting and melt in your mouth when they are warm straight out of the oven! Beware: you will not be able to eat just one or two for that matter!

1(8 oz) package cream cheese, room temperature
1 stick butter,room temperature
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 (18 oz) box moist chocolate cake mix
Powdered sugar for dusting

Preheat oven to 350. In a large bowl cream the cream cheese and butter until smooth. Beat in the egg..after well blended beat in the vanilla. Beat in the cake mix. Cover and refrigerate for two hours until firm so that you can roll the batter into balls. Roll the chilled batter into tablespoon sized balls and then roll in the powdered sugar. Place on a cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake 12 minutes. The cookies will remain soft and gooey!!!! Yummy!

Choo Choo

We went to a birthday party for one of Jacob's friends last weekend. It was actually the son of the man that pulled Caleb out of the pool over the summer. We haven't seen him since the last baseball season ended since they aren't doing fall ball. Seeing him took me right back to that day again....it was surreal. Still such an amazing and unspeakable connection...that man could ask me for anything in the world and I'd find a way to get it.

Anyhow...there was a train where the party was at and for the kids it was the highlight. Caleb has been listening to this train song on a kids cd that we have..as a matter of fact it's on repeat in the car right now and it's all we hear day in and day out over and over again. At first Caleb was scared of the train but as soon as we got him on it once he wanted right back on.

David was on call last weekend and we had baseball, party and then dinner with friends on Saturday. Seems we ran around all weekend..although it was a fun weekend I look forward to not having any plans this coming one...well except we start baseball games..cleaning...clothes...etc...etc...it never ends.

Jacob waiting on the train.

Caleb when we first got on. You can see the hesitation in his eyes...5 seconds later he was grinning from ear to ear.

My princess.

She's already cutting her eyes at me!

Computer Issues

I am having major issues with my computer right now...I'm praying it isn't going to crash on me but right now I feel like I'm on pins and needles just waiting for something to happen.

It started shutting down on me and flashing a code about 4 days ago. Since then it's done it two more times and when I run a scan it tells me "No Disk Driver Detected". Everything I've read so far tells me my hard drive is going kaboot soon.

I have been working on trying to get my pictures organized but hadn't done that yet so last minute trip to Walmart last night to purchaase an external hard drive and some help from my Dad thankfully saved all the pictures on my computer. I can't tell you how much peace of mind that gave me. Everything of Caleb and Allie from the day they were born was on my computer.

I'm praying I can get it repaired before it just quits on me...I've only had this laptop for a little more than a year and a half now..I got it for Christmas in 07 so it just seems insane that the hard drive could be going bad. Just my luck though!

9 Months

I'm in a place today that a year ago I never thought I'd be. Today David hit 9 months sobriety and the air is so much cleaner...the world is brighter and looking forward to tomorrow feels good. I'm amazed at what he's done and how far he has come...there's not a doubt in my mind that we wouldn't be where we are today without him working constantly at staying sober. I'm so thankful for what he has done for our family and how he has not only brought us together but held us tighter and made us closer!

Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum

The best part about the older two being in school has been watching this relationship. Although they don't get along 100% of the time 99.5% they do. I can't wait(okay I can wait because I don't her to grow too quickly but that's beside the point)until she is a little older and able to truly communicate to watch the two of them interact. There's not a doubt in my mind that he'll be playing house and having tea parties with her. I'm so blessed!!!!!

Food Fixing Friday

Today I am linking up with Kelly from Two kids,a minivan and a lot of love for Food Fixing Friday. I am always up for finding new recipes for my family so I'm excited about this. Hopefully all of you will see it and post your favorite also on a weekly basis so we can all expand our recipe books :)

Todays category is breads...I had to think about this one...the first one that came to mind was my grandmothers sourdough bread but that was a little complicated and involved starter and feeding it and all that so I thought I would wait for another day to share that one. Another recipe that I got from her though is Applesauce Muffins(after all those are a type of bread, right? Okay well today they are) I absolutely love this recipe...it makes a ton of muffins and once you mix the batter up you can put any leftover batter in the fridge for up to 4 weeks!!!! I usually make an entire batch and sometimes even double it then keep it in the fridge and just pull out in the mornings and throw them in the oven. My kids love love love these muffins!

I wish I had a picture of them but I don't. I'll have to plan ahead next week and try to have a picture ready.

Applesauce Muffins

2 sticks;softened margarine or butter
2 cups sugar
2 cups applesauce
2 eggs
4 cups plain flour
1 tsp vanilla
3 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp allspice
1 tsp ground cloves

Mix all ingredients. Bake in muffin tins at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

One batch yields 3 dozen muffins and they are unbelievably moist!!!!!

Jumping Around

We went out to the trampoline the other morning...I was interested to see how Allie would react because she had never been on it before. Caleb immediately started jumping and the grin on her face grew a mile. She laughed and laughed the entire time we were out there. I was horrified he was going to jump on her because he wasn't holding anything back but surprisingly he never did. She loved laying down and being bounced around while he jumped all around her.

They were obsessed with the ball while we were out there. Caleb eventually got tired of throwing and rolling it so we moved onto kicking...this kid scares me when he kicks..it's like a line drive to the head!

I can't get over her tongue...I love the expression on her face with her itty bitty tongue sticking out!

And my baby jumping away. I'm not sure what was going on with my camera on this particular day but I couldn't get the settings quite right for some reason....a large number of the pictures I took came out blurry...these aren't the best quality but I wanted to keep them because I just love his face while he's jumping. I'm thinking another trip out there is necessary just to try and get the pictures captured appropriately.

Now I have a huge insecurity I suppose. Does anyone else out there take it personally when they lose followers? Please tell me I'm not insane and the only one that lets it get to them. I know I've been slow this summer...I haven't been posting as much as I have in the past and of course in all honestly my life really isn't all that interesting but for some reason when I log in and see that number go down it bothers me. I know I'm not blogging for others so it really shouldn't...I don't know why it does. I started blogging so I could remember things that happened in our everyday life...so that one day when I actually had time to sit down and scrapbook again I would have things documented. I didn't start for the follower numbers....it almost makes me hate that number. I've lost two in the past week and although I don't know who they were because for the life of me I can't figure it out I'll just move on. I'll try and brush it off and get past it :) Seriously okay I am always like this..it's a flaw. I take everything so personally ALWAYS...I analyze everything and think it's an attack on me. I have it out now and I feel better....I ranted..I raved and I am refreshed :)
