Allie's 2nd Birthday

I figured since we were a week out from Allie's birthday I should probably post some pics from her big day. It was pure chaos around here at that time because I was in the middle of trying to finish up two baseball teams/plan two baseball parties/plan two class parties/etc and I was going insane! I decided on a ladybug theme at the last minute for her big day. We did a party the weekend before with my parents so they could be here and then just did cupcakes and her other gifts on her actual birthday because I am a stickler for having a celebration on the ACTUAL day! I'm insane-I know!

Here's her birthday cake. I realized I didn't have any cake boards at the last minute so I improvised - oh well! I really am so over the decorating of cakes but I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for them either so I'm sort of at a crossroads I suppose.

When she first saw her cake she was so excited!

Then when everyone started singing for some reason she got extremely shy!!!!! Her daddy had to help her blow out the candles.

This girl actually ate all the cake underneath the icing - I'm still not sure she is my child if she does that :) because I get the piece with the most possible icing all the time! Maybe I should take her lead and follow.

When it came time for presents she was still shy so she sat with her Daddy the entire time!

Here she is opening her scooter.

This was her big present-her kitchen.

Outside right after riding her scooter-she started to finally break out of her shell :)

Now for the after- the boys are so funny! They spend more time than they will ever want me to admit in her pink room with her play kitchen. Seriously I laugh when they do it at least on a daily basis!

Part 2 of her actual birthday to come later on - I need to upload those pics - I'm SO behind!

Wow step. Those pictures turned out beautiful of Allie. Love the black and white one. Gorgeous. That kitchen is so much fun. My 10 year old still loves to play with our kitchen and fake food.

That last one is exactly what I envisioned!! It happened every day when I had the two girls coming over here... two girls and two boys playing with the kitchen every day :) She will love the fact you baked and decorated her cake some day... I just know she will.

I seriously love that cake! You did a great job. Wanna give me lessons? LOL I thought about getting Jackson a kitchen but I thought maybe that was too girly, so it's funny seeing your boys playing with it!

You got her in perfect lighting. Those eyes stand out beautifully! My boys are the same way about Jordyn's toys. You know, it's okay to play with girl stuff if it doesn't actually belong to you. :) (At least that's what my boys think.)

Glad to hear Allie had a wonderful 2nd birthday.
