Allie's Birthday

It's almost impossible to believe that Allie will be 2 this month. I am so behind on planning things and have absolutely no idea what kind of party I am going to do for her. Along with that is what we are going to get her for her birthday. It's so different shopping for a girl and knowing what to get them at what stage. She's not totally into the playing with dolls and barbie stage yet so I figure we're another 6 months or so away from that. I thought I'd open it up and see what ideas you guys had. She got a little tea set for Easter and she loves to play with that!!! She also loves playing outside. I'm not sure if we should go ahead and get her a kitchen or wait? So here's my ideas so far-anybody have any others?

Here's a couple things I'm thinking of so far:

I'm going to start reading her a bedtime story every night before she goes to bed so I want to get a good bedtime book-anybody know of a good one that has a lot of stories in it?

Her favorite thing right now is playing outside-she's always riding the toys that have been out there for the boys and I figure it's time she gets her own :)

Along with the playing outside theme she ADORES water! I think she'd love this!!

Wow, it's hard to believe that she was only about 6 months when we started being bloggy friends and now she will be 2!

Stephanie, The table looks fun. My youngest loves her singing elmo telephone that sings when you open it up. Maybe blocks and a big ball...

Thanks for writing... I cannot believe I am half way there. Praying my bp will hold out and the contractions will stop. Have the best day. Blessings, Audrey

Hands down, our toy kitchen was the best investment, even for my boys! We let them take it outside or in and they will not let me get rid of it even now. I think she would honestly love any of the items you mentioned!

OMGosh, no way that she is almost two. Wasn't it yesterday that you were celebrating her first birthday? I swear it was.
I think those are great gift ideas. I love the sand and water table, because it can be used inside or out depending on what you put in it. You know rice, beans, water, shaving cream such a fun toy to have.

The water table looks like so much fun! My boys would love that too. I think a kitchen would be great for her. Eli loves playing with ours. He was running around yesterday with an apron and a bowl!

ALREADY????!!! Wow, time flies:)
Mine love anything to do with outside and have always had something to ride on. I would get her a baby, too. Take her down the doll aisle and see what she does.

We got alex that play table for her 2nd birthday and hse loved it then and she still loves it now. I think it is a great gift.

We also got Alex a kitchen for Christmas 2 years ago and really she doesnt play with it that often.

Alex is also not really into dolls that much. If the weather is nice she wants to be outside. I think you should do outside toys.

I am hoping alex will get a big wooden house for hristmas this year ith wooden people and wooden stuff for inside it :)
