Can't Make up her Mind

I told you a while ago that I was trying to force the paci on Allie. She'd play with it and chew on it every now and then but would never ever suck on it for anything in the world. The other day she found it and oh my the skies must of broke open because she actually sucked it! and she kept it in her mouth for a while and played. Ever since then she hasn't been attached to it but if I give it to her she'll take it and put it in her mouth..of course she almost always ends up playing with it but we're making progress here!

On the other hand she went from sleeping very well to tossing and turning all night long in our bed last night. When she did sleep she was upside down and she was up much earlier than usual this morning. She's also been very fussy for the last few days along with a major runny nose...ugh!!!!!! I tell ya you would think they could make up their minds about things...like whether they want to sleep or not and stick to a decision rather than going back and forth every week...Hell what am I saying..she's female. I still can't make a decision after all these years why would I expect her to in 10 1/2 short months.

ADORABLE picture. So why are you trying to force the passy on her? Is it so she won't suck on her fingers? I've never had issues with forcing a passy on any of the kids. They naturally became addicted to it all on their own. It's breaking them from it that I had huge ISSUES with. Good luck on the sleep thing. We are going through the same thing. Abby's crib is in our room right now becuase her room is turning into an office. I must have been up and out of bed 6 times last night. UGH!

Yep, that sounds like my girls. Always changing their minds. Wait until one day she loves an outfit and the next day it is "so ugly" 1 wear and 55.00 later I want to pull my hair out. LOL

Sounds like teething. :)

Bayley liked the paci as a newborn but then she didn't want it anymore. Now she chews on them.

Hey there!

My kiddos weren't too interested in the pacifier either. I think that when you introduce it to them when they're a little older they think it's more of a toy than actually something to suck on. At the very least, she can use it to chew on to relieve the teething pain. The runny nose could also have to do with teething too.

Have you guys given any thought to putting her in a crib yet? I probably sound like a mean mommy but I just can't have my kids in bed with me. I've tried it and they kick me all night long, and in the morning I feel like I was in battle all night long, LOL.

I think in the end we all have to do what we're comfortable with.
On another note, have things been getting better with work for your Hubby? I hope so!

Talk to you later!

We tried the paci with Brody when he was teething. It was like the only thing he wanted was a bottle and my lord that was just wayyyy too much milk. He won't even bother with the paci.. he just plays with it. I hope it helps your solution to little Allie Bug sleeping habits. Hang in there Steph.

We have the same thing going on here with the unrestful sleeping and the runny nose. Baby is teething terribly and I'm sure as soon as the tooth breaks through hopefully it will be better. Good luck

Neither of my kids would take a paci. Our little one did for about a month but that was it. Sure would have made life a lot simpler as far as bedtime goes! :)

Jordyn is usually a good sleeper so when she ends up in our bed tossing and turning, it's almost always an ear infection. Hope that's not the case for you!
