School Days

My little five year old is growing up right before my eyes. I was afraid of this as soon as he headed off to school...I'm beginning to think homeschooling might not be such a bad idea. Seriously though Jacob is loving school...he has a hard time getting up in the mornings and will utter "I wish we didn't have school today" but as soon as he's up he's ready to go and excited. Every single day he gets in the car after school is over he tells me what he did and first thing on his list is that he went down the firepole on the playground. The first two or three days he would come and say "I made two friends today" and tell me their names. Tuesday he came home and said that he had a girlfriend....wow....that didn't take long. He said her name was Marissa then Emily..then he didn't know :) So he went back yesterday and came home sure her name was Madison! I've let him out of my grasp for 6 short days and he's already got a girlfriend...I'm scared of what's next.

Lucas is enjoying school again this year...he soaks everything up like a sponge when he's there. I've heard that homework is horrible in third grade but so far so good around our house. Of course I've also heard this is the year for projects and such to start so we may just be in the beginning where they gradually get them used to it again. We may have a shocker coming pretty soon. He's heading to a birthday party this weekend so he's back in his element.

It's amazing how different the house is with only two around here during the day. 99% of the time Caleb and Allie get along so well I'm shocked. They're constantly playing together and I'm amazed at how close they are. I just love to watch him interact with her...it's very apparent how much he adores her! Of course once 3 pm comes it's chaos once again until the next day.

I love the pool pix! Beautiful colors! Yes, they grow right before your eyes! I noticed one of my twins this morning was actually taller then me! Oh man.

Ahhhh, I love it! I totally have that exact same recliner :) Rocked both my babies in it! So fun to see the littler ones enjoying each other and forming a fun bond. I can see why Jacob would have a girlfriend after only 6 days... my oldest has had a new girlfriend every year!

That's great to hear that Jacob is adjusting so well to school. I know that has to make you feel so much better about him being out of the house and in that big ol' school everyday. :) It has to feel so different to be home with only 2 during the day now until 3pm. I bet you can get so much more done because they are so close in age and plays well together. LOVE the pictures! They are so stinkin cute together.

They're beautiful kids! Isn't it amazing how school starting quickly makes us take measure of how fast they're growing? Gracie already has a project due, but luckily the homework this year has been a little lighter than last.

I am sure it is quite the adjustment for you! I know Tuesdays and Wednesdays will be weird for me starting next week! :)

Oh my Jacob!!! A girlfriend?!? Already!?! What?!?
Wow, that's too cute how kids say stuff like they have a boy/girlfriend, and don't know there names. :)

Good Luck with the upcoming projects/homework!

Allie & Caleb looks very content with each other. Too cute!

Have a great weekend!!

Oh, but what great bonding time for the two little ones. I always loved it when Cameron and Riley got to bond.... because Cam always gravitated towards his BROTHERS when they were around. Little sister got so neglected. But when big brothers were gone, little sister became his playmate. =0)

I get it!

Gosh, seems like I've missed so much over here! From the hats to the dentist appointments, and school, I've finally caught up on reading about what you guys have been up to! Seems like things have been busy but I'm glad that things are going so well so far. I LOVE the first two pics of Lucas and Jacob. Talk about picture perfection!!!

Wow - that is great news about Jacob! I had a hard time pulling information from my oldest about school. He loved it, but he just didn't want to talk about it. Maybe it will be different this year! Awesome pictures!
