I think I'm actually glad it's Monday now. That rarely ever happens but this morning I'm so glad we don't have to go back to the park in 90+ degree heat for another double header.
We started out the weekend with 2 games on Saturday...we lost the first and finished with Lucas getting hit in the face with the ball. We won our second game though and that lifted the kids spirits up a big. Sunday we played two games again and lost both and almost sweated to death in the heat. The kids just weren't into it this weekend...they had spurts when they were excited and ready to go and during those periods we hit and fielded with the best of them but then it'd fall back down again. Jacob got to be bat boy yesterday and I was so out of it I didn't even pull out my camera....I can't imagine why I'd have been busy but that's my excuse for the time being. He's been asking to do it all year and David finally let him...he had so much fun!!!! I am going to try and get a picture of him tonight if he does it again. I'm hoping we got that out of our systems because we play every night this weekend except Wednesday. It's kinda nice to only have one game tonight...like an ice cream treat :)
Here's my princess at her second home. She did exceptionally well given the amount of time we spent there this weekend over about 10+ hours. I'm beginning to think there's no way we're going to avoid her being on some sort of a ballteam....I'm thinking I may could play one of those tapes that just repeats things time after time in the middle of the night and she'll wake up living dance or something. I mean really after all these years at the ballfield being in an air conditioned room watching a line of girls in tutus might not be such a bad thing :)
Here's Lucas after the game...had to get a picture of the injury again. We immediately put ice on it and that helped it alot!!!!!!! He was in a bad mood after the game even though this was the game they won...he got in trouble because he broke the water cooler bracket so he wasn't happy with his dad. Oh well....documentation is all that matters, right?

Glad to here they won, minus the injury! :) Hopefully soon you guys will get a break.
Yikes!! I know you guys are sweating to death in the heat. I am so glad our season is over. I can't imagine still playing and having so many games in a week!!! Good luck to him though, I hope they win and have fun playing! Sorry about the injury, that looks painful.
Oh you got some GREAT photos :) I'm glad to hear I am not the only one whose son gets upset with their coach/dad. You are real troopers to have to play in that kind of heat!! I don't think I would have cared much about the outcome if it were me trying to cope with that heat.
You're little girl is getting so big! Looks like she grew three months overnight! :)
What an adorable blog! I have a sonin base ball too. Sorry ittook me so long ot come over here, but I wanted to thank you for comin gover from Jills Sneaky Friend Post. That was very nice of you!
Wow...I hope that he is ok after being hit. Yikes. That hurts so bad. Great pictures. You are doing so good with your camera. They are so clear! Do you scrapbook?
Ouch! That looks like it hadda hurt! =0)
We did little league for a few years, but none of my boys just "loved" it. So we've done football, basketball and other things... usually those are indoors or evening things though - unlike baseball.
I hope you get a ballerina!!!
Oh yah..Lucas does not look happy in the picture. LOL, my kids totally get annoyed when I do stuff like that too!
Yah..put on girly videos!! That helps! LOL!
I love that pic of Allie! She looks awesome in yellow!
