Lucas insisted that he wanted to draw the face on it and had been drawing and practicing on paper all afternoon so we just that he had something fabulous planned....we were in for a surprise! He started drawing...he drew and drew and drew.
Then we got our big shock of the night.
We had to ask him to be sure...."Luke..what's up with the mouth and nose?" Okay well let's just stay it didn't stay quite like that. Daddy fixed it up alittle...even after carving you can still see the original though so Lucas' contribution stayed put.
Allie was obsessed with the pumpkin once the top came off of it. She kept looking down inside and was amazed at what she was seeing. Not to mention that she was convinced she could pick it up!!!!
LOL...that was so funny!!! Well, good job for his first try, right!
ReplyDeleteThat is sooo funny and cute :) Poor Lucas, he won't be able to deny it years from now! Yep, still want to eat her up, too cute!
ReplyDeleteOkay...where is the finished product!??? lol
ReplyDeleteHow fun. We love carving our pumpkins. Allie is just too cute.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't even carve pumpkins this year. Put a couple small ones on the porch. We made the most of Halloween this year with Skylar, but definitely missed the big kids.
ReplyDeleteThat brought back some memories! Our first son on his second Halloween would have nothing to do with the slimy stuff in the pumpkin! I have the cutest pic of his disgusted face!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the blast from the past!
Ha! Lucas did a ahem (okay) good job! :)
ReplyDeleteAt least he tried Mamma!
H wasn't even into his pumpkin this year. Oh well!
Looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I will try and update your sidebar pictures tonight.
Oh fun!
ReplyDeleteCute!! I love the imagination of kids. :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun! This year I got brave and handed the knife over to my daughter. She was so proud of her crooked face pumpkin:)
ReplyDeleteWe didn't even carve our pumpkins this year!!!
ReplyDeleteYou got some great shots!
Fun...sadly we didn't even carve a pumpkin this year!
ReplyDeleteOh yea, I think she's just dying to get her little hands in that big ol' pumpkin!!!
ReplyDeleteCute pictures, and I love that original face. What a great photo. Glad you got it before y'all redrew it. He'll laugh at that someday.
Steph, I hate to do this, but I want to refer you back to my post from 11/3/09... so you're not confused later as you begin to see my blog change up a bit. *sigh*
